*** A very warm welcome to all our members, friends and visitors ***

DARTFORD FOLK CLUB IS A LIVE MUSIC VENUE PROMOTING MANY STYLES OF ACOUSTIC MUSIC.

** STAY SAFE **        'HANDS     FACE     SPACE'        ** STAY SAFE **

THURSDAY 27TH MAY 2021

So, over 14 months since we were last able to host live music at Dartford Folk Club...
In that time, well over 50 performers, who were due to appear at Dartford, have not had been able to work musically unless they have adopted the 'new' online way of reaching audiences.

Where possible, most of these acts have been rescheduled to later this year or to Spring/Summer 2022. The website has been updated regularly to reflect the new dates.
Please check our    GUEST LIST FOR 2021   for further details.

We are liaising very closely with our host venue, but there will be no live music until July 2021 at the very earliest.
With this in mind, we have made the difficult decision to contact the remaining guests booked for July and have rescheduled them to next year.
Reopening is very much dependent on the scientific data available nearer the time and of course the public's confidence to return to socialising in smaller venues.
We will keep you updated on our plans, as and when they are available, with further updates posted here and on social media.

Dartford Folk Club is a well-established social community of friends. Please do continue to keep in touch with one another.

***     DFC ONLINE ZOOM SINGAROUND    ***

Hosted by one of our regulars, these weekly sessions on a Tuesday evening at 8pm are open to all acoustic-based musicians and singers, just like the floor singers at our club and,
if you are missing the club as an audience member we already have some DFC members who come just to listen. Either way, a very warm welcome is always guaranteed!
Details are sent out weekly to a mailing list, held by the organiser, but there is no pressure to join in every time!

If you would like to be included on our mailing list, please email:    hawleymkm@aol.com    with your name and email address, and this will be passed on to our Singaround host.

PAM & ALAN COLLS

It is over five years since our very dear friend Pam Colls died and a year since her loving husband, Alan passed away.
Founders of the Dartford Folk Club, they ran the Club together for over 40 years, booking an amazing variety of artists within the Folk genre.
When it is safe to gather again, a celebration of their lives will be held to remember their friendship, achievements and contributions to the music world.

The Dartford Folk Club is now managed by a small team of original members in memory of and as a legacy to Pam & Alan's love for music.

For further information, bookings and enquiries please contact Marj Mitchell by email at:    hawleymkm@aol.com
